What to do in Québec: My Travel Itinerary

Updated: Aug 13

Here's my travel itinerary from a 2-day trip to Québec Canada in May 2023. Full of details with what to do and eat if you're also planning on going there.

Disclaimers:

  • We never felt hungry enough to try poutine as we were very jet lagged.

  • These are just my suggestions of what to do in Quebec based on our visit last year, there's lots more to explore.

What to do in Québec - Day 1 (evening only):

  • Orléans Express from Montréal to Québec (55$)

  • We walked over to our AirBnB in Saint-Roch neighbourhood.

  • Drinks: La Barberie Microbrasserie - I recommend any sours from Raptors if you're not a big beer drinker.

  • €€ Dinner: Hono Izakaya - A lovely dinner, small plates and vibrant atmosphere. The cocktails and dumplings were my highlights.

What to do in Québec - Day 2:

  • Breakfast: Café Saint-Henri Excellent coffee and donuts.

  • Explored Old Québec on foot, just wandering around from Saint-Roch to the Artillery Park and Saint-Jean Gate, ambling through the small streets, antique shops and going to see the city mural.

  • Lunch: Buffet de l'Antiquaire - very nice chips, tried the shrimp guédille which was delicious but the raw onion stayed with me all afternoon.

  • Walked along to the Place Royale then along the river to The Citadelle of Québec. It was a lovely walk on a sunny day and we could have prolonged it on the Plains of Abraham.

  • €€ Dinner: We actually cooked burritos but got a few bits from La Place Boutique Gourmande including an insane Oka Beach white wine.

What to do in Québec - Day 3:

  • Breakfast: Cantook Café . very nice coffee with outdoor seating to people watch on the Rue Saint Jean.

  • Ambled along the Rue Saint-Jean to do a bit of shopping.

  • Lunch: we had leftovers from dinner.

  • Drinks: it was a lovely day so we stopped of at Bar Le Sacrilège to have a drink on their patio, I loved the guava sour!

  • Dinner: La Barberie Microbrasserie - we decided to go back because it had outdoor seating and a lovely atmosphere, plus we wanted to have a cheaper dinner and they had some great options. I really enjoyed the Moroccan flatbreads.

Then we got the plane and set off for Toronto
